Since my last State Manager update, it’s safe to say we’ve kept ourselves busy here at NEOS with quite a few changes to the NSW team – both personally and professionally.
- Steve Colliver has deservingly been promoted to state underwriting manager NSW/ACT/WA/SA. Steve is one of the best underwriters I’ve worked with and we’re very excited to welcome him to NSW and see him work across the state soon
- I proposed to Bianca last month on a trip to Hayman Island and thankfully she accepted!
- Rickaila Hill and her partner Ryan will be welcoming baby Kai into the NEOS family in the next few months!
- We welcomed Erin Taylor (former MLC/TAL) to our underwriting team.
Our underwriting team continue to push for 80% of underwriting decisions to be completed within 3 working days so the team certainly welcomes the extra help of Erin Taylor!
I’d say working at NEOS has always been rewarding and by far one of the greatest places I’ve ever worked. But just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, our entire business was given the opportunity to experience the Three Capes Walk in Tasmania over 3 nights (I’ve included some photos below). It was one of the best experiences of my life and to be able to do this with my peers really reinforced the type of business NEOS is and the amazing people we employ! Everyone had an outstanding time, and it gave us all a chance to get to know each other a little better across different states and departments.
We’ve also continued to grow our library of content to bring value to your business and help with your CPD hours. So, when you see an invitation come from the team, please join us for the session and extend the invitation to your support staff. We know your time is precious; that’s why we’re making sure that each of our webinars are short and snappy (only 30 minutes!) and value add to your business. So far, we’ve seen over 1,000 advisers attend our webinar series so keep an eye on our events page for new topics.
Before I sign off, I’d also like to wish those of you who are sitting the next FASEA exam the very best of luck! Don’t forget you must comply with FASEA’s Code of Ethics from 1 January 2022 to maintain your ‘existing adviser’ status and avoid the need to meet new entrant requirements. As always, the team and I are here to help so feel free to reach out if you need anything in the lead up to EOFY.
Nathan
We’d love to hear about your experience
NEOS is a life insurance business focused solely on the advised channel. This means that our success is dependent on your success. If there’s anything you feel we could be doing better or any suggestions for how we can improve the NEOS Experience, please let us know.
While this edition of our newsletter has highlighted some of the great successes we’ve recently had, we’re not too proud to think that we can’t be better.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out to myself as your State Manager or alternatively your BDM. We’d love to hear from you! And of course, positive feedback is also appreciated.
