Following the successful launch of NEOS Life in 2018, we’re pleased to announce the expansion of our team with the appointment of three Western Australia team members.

Leading the Western Australia sales team will be State Manager, Reon Botha. Reon has worked within the life insurance industry since 1992, both as a financial adviser and as a Business Development Manager. Most recently, Reon was a Senior Business Development Manager with AIA in Perth.

Working closely with Reon, will be Business Development Manager, John Griffiths. John has over 14 years’ experience in the life insurance industry. John started his life insurance career at TAL, where he was a Business Development Manager for almost 13 years. Most recently, John was a Business Development Manager for MLC Life Insurance in Perth.

In addition, we’ve also recruited Kon Vaporakis as our Senior Underwriter for Western Australia. Kon has over 22 years’ experience in the life insurance industry, and over 11 years’ experience as a senior/principal underwriter. Kon has joined NEOS from AIA, where he was AIA’s Principal Underwriter in Perth.

Our new appointments join an already very strong sales and underwriting team.

Our sales team is headed up by Charl du Plooy, formerly NSW State Sales Manager at TAL and Head of Adviser Growth and Business Coaching at AMPFP. Our underwriting and operations team is led by Gemma Wheeler, formerly National New Business and Underwriting Manager at BT Life. Prior to that, Gemma was the NSW State Manager for Underwriting at TAL.

Nathan Leonard – State Manager NSW/ACT. Most recently, Nathan was Head of Partnerships and Operations at Affinia.

Don Glendinning – State Manager VIC/TAS/SA. Don was previously Acting State Sales Manager at AIA.

Brett Leonard – State Manager QLD/NT. Prior to joining NEOS, Brett was Acting Head of Sales at BT.

Brett Madigan – Business Development Manager NSW/ACT. Most recently, Brett was a Senior Business Development Manager at TAL.

Eugene Badenhorst – Business Development Manager VIC/TAS/SA. Eugene was formerly a Business Development Manager at AIA.

Michelle Dolan – Business Development Manager QLD/NT. Michelle joined NEOS from AIA and previously worked at both Macquarie and TAL.

Cara Glanville – Senior Underwriter. Most recently, Cara was a Senior Underwriter at BT Life.

Maria Monaghan – Senior Underwriter. Most recently, Maria was a Senior Underwriter at BT Life.
